We will meet on Thursday, June 21st, 2018 at Modis' offices at 101 Bullitt Lane. Doors will open at 6:30pm and the presentations will begin sharply at 7:00 pm. Azure’s Cosmos DB from a SQL/.NET Developer’s Perspective

Cosmos DB is Azure’s globally distributed, multi-model, elastically scalable database service. What does all that mean? In this talk we will dive into what Cosmos DB is and why it is useful. We’ll explore the SQL API, highlighting the similarities and differences compared to SQL in a traditional relational database. And finally, we’ll look at how to access your data in the .NET SDK.

Mike Schlegel has spent majority of his career as a project manager. Several years ago, he decided he was in the wrong field. Mike then decided to attend the University of Louisville for a degree in Computer Science. He has now been a developer for three years and loves it! He is a currently a consultant with HMB in their Louisville market. His passion is helping clients explore their options in cloud services. Mike also has two Goldendoodles that he loves to talk about
